Role Overview
As Growth Manager you are responsible for Connective3's outbound pipeline. With a target in excess of £1million/year you are expected to work alongside our team to generate qualified new business opportunities to hit this target, with monthly reporting on signed deals to be presented to the management team.
You will be our strategic lead for outbound, building out targeted outreach strategies to target new markets and fill gaps in current client portfolios. With extensive experience working in agency sales you will have your own 'little black book' of contacts to lean upon and further drive new customer acquisition. This role is crucially important to the future growth of Connective3 as we strive for growth within new markets and new service areas.
The following is a breakdown of your key responsibilities.
Role & Client Deliverables
- Sales Strategy: Management and delivery of sales strategy to deliver all outbound new business for Connective3 against sales target set by the shareholders.
- Pitch Lead: Leading outbound pitches you bring into the business, managing key stakeholders at c3 and within the company we’re pitching to. Your role is to get these pitches over the line.
- Management team role: You will sit on the management team, working alongside the board to champion growth initiatives as a collective and support with company culture.
- Reporting – reporting monthly to the board, and quarterly to the key shareholders on the success of the sales strategy – outlining revenue generated, team performance and future growth opportunities. This role is a target-based role with all marketing spend measured for ROI in signed revenue generated for Connective3. All activity for you and your team should be recorded in Hubspot as live data.
- Relationship building: As Growth Manager you will have an established contact database of senior brand marketers, curated over your years working in agency marketing. You will be well known within the marketing industry, and as such able to leverage your personal network to drive new business opportunities for Connective3.
- Team management: Management of the c3 sales team. Managing the implementation of the sales strategy across all channels, measuring success and driving the team members to excel against their individual targets, ensuring that all team members are meeting their respective targets.
- Events: Working alongside our Head of Marketing/Marketing Manager you will support in the delivery of owned and external events. Travelling across the UK, US and EU to represent connective3 at these events, taking new business meetings with senior marketing leaders, working on exhibition stands, and being the leading representative from Connective3 on site. This will require extensive travel on a regular basis.
- Industry knowledge: You should have a comprehensive understanding of the marketing agency sector, understanding our competitors, and building a strategy to ensure we stand out in this highly competitive space. You will have your own network of prospects, partners and contacts that will help Connective3 with growth goals across their events, awards, and new business strategies.
- Marketing collaboration: Working alongside the marketing team to deliver a regular stream of case studies and content for new business purposes. This should include things such as whitepapers, research pieces, landing pages, case studies and marketing campaigns to capitalise on market opportunities for Connective3.
- Social Media: Working alongside the marketing team you will be expected to drive social media engagement, with a focus on building our brand recognition and inbound pipeline from new business prospects. You will commit to building your own personal brand on social media, advocating for Connective3 to promote their work and workplace culture.
- Internal Comms: You will be expected to present monthly to the wider business to share the success of the sales strategy, key leads we’ve delivered and how the sales team are performing overall.
